Company Highlights Sustainable Practices, Sets Ambition to Be the Industry’s Sustainability Leader

BALTIMORE, Maryland, September 11, 2023 – Synagro Technologies, Inc., the preeminent provider of biosolids and wastewater residuals solutions services in North America, today released its inaugural sustainability report which outlines its sustainable growth plan strategy. Synagro partners with over 1,000 municipal, agricultural and industrial customers to process, handle and transport wastewater biosolids and other organic materials. The majority of processed material has beneficial re-use applications, including pelletized fertilizer, compost and renewable energy, supporting both clean public water systems and landfill diversion.

“Simply, we take waste that would have been sent to a landfill and transform it into something valuable,” said Kip Cleverley, chief sustainability officer, Synagro. “The sustainable growth of our company has a meaningful impact to the ever-evolving circular economy.”

The Sustainable Growth Plan report outlines the company’s achievements and goals across three main pillars – a Greener World, Passionate People and Transparent Integrity.

“I am pleased to announce the launch of our inaugural sustainability report,” said Bob Preston, chief executive officer, Synagro. “Environmental best practices are core to our mission, and we believe that through a deeper understanding of how we can accelerate and grow our business sustainably, we will positively impact the environment and society. We are pleased to report our progress to date to our stakeholders.”
