Synagro Top Engineer to Lead WEFTEC 2011 Technical Session on Asset Management 10/11/11
Multi-Part Session to Focus on Maximizing Performance and Utilization while Minimizing Life Cycle Costs
Houston, TX – October 11, 2011 – Synagro Technologies, Inc. announced today that Chibby Alloway, vice president of engineering and technology, will serve as moderator of an in-depth, multi-part technical session at WEFTEC® 2011, the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference. The session entitled, “Asset Management – New Tools to Repair Old Problems,” will take place on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Booth #4763, West.
The discussion will focus on how plant operational staffs can utilize asset management to maximize performance and utilization while minimizing life cycle costs. Specifically, asset management will be explored by global reviewing system functionality, capital repair budgets, and specific tools such as reliability centered maintenance (RCM) and predictive models. The session is the first to be conducted not in the usual technical meeting rooms but on the WEFTEC Expo floor so that speakers and vendors are aligned with the technical exchange.
“Asset management is the best cradle to grave repair and replacement strategy for operations and maintenance functions, as it ensures the greatest return is achieved,” said Alloway. “It is exciting to connect the technical detail from asset management experts with the vendors and consultants that provide these valuable services to municipal and industrial clients.”
WEFTEC 2011 is the biggest meeting of its kind in North America and offers thousands of water quality professionals from around the world the best water quality education and training available today.
