Regulations

On February 19, 1993, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) promulgated the 40 CFR Part 503 regulation for use and disposal of biosolids. Since that time, several amendments have been made to the 503 Rule.

Synagro’s technical staff works with the EPA, National Biosolids Partnership, Regional Biosolids Associations, and State and Local Regulatory Agencies to stay abreast of federal, state, and local biosolids regulations and their ramifications.

Our highly trained staff members ensure each of our clients maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, regional and local regulatory requirements. Synagro is proactive in reviewing, researching, and commenting on proposed regulations at every level of regulatory control.
