Synagro’s national rail transportation business unit recognized for fifth consecutive year with no lost time from work related injuries

BALTIMORE, Maryland, July 10, 2018 –Synagro Technologies, Inc., the preeminent provider of biosolids and residuals solutions services in the United States since 1986, is pleased to announce that its nationwide rail transport business unit – Environmental Protection & Improvement Company, LLC (EPIC) – recently received the 90thAnnual New Jersey Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Award Program’s “Governor’s Continued Excellence Certificate” for achievement in the prevention of occupational injuries during 2017at the Governors Occupational Safety & Health Awards Dinner.This is EPIC’s fifth consecutive year receiving this recognition and, in fact, on April 18, 2018, EPIC marked its ninth year with no lost time from work related injuries.

EPIC’s Neil Rogers, director, Rail Operations, was on hand to accept the award. “It takes a committed team to achieve results like these,” said Rogers, “Without the efforts of all of the EPIC employees and the leadership and management of both Phil Liberti, senior operations manager, EPIC, and Luis Castro, transportation manager, EPIC, these kinds of accomplishments would not be possible.”

EPIC’s Brills Yard in Newark, New Jersey is a fully permitted New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Intermodal Container Facility served by both CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads.
